upgrading OS On Linux servers

This announcement pertains to our dedicated servers

1. yesdaddy.iabhost.com IP 208.115.233.66

2. host5.thunderondemand.com IP 209.59.146.42

3. server95.iabhost.com IP 216.245.213.146

We are in the process of upgrading operating system on above mentioned Linux Dedicated Servers which are presently using Centos version 5.xxx

All our other dedicated servers or cloud servers are already  running on higher centos versions and they will not be touched.

cPanel will shortly withdraw support to centos 5.xxx versions due to end of life span and some vulnerabilities and have recommended to schedule upgrade to centos version 6.xxx or latest centos version 7.1 as early as possible to avoid any complications.

Reloading new operating system on live servers is a bit complex but HostingInIndia is geared to handle it without any issue or loss of data.

We have setup new servers with latest centos version 7.1 and have started moving your data on new hardware with latest operating system.

It will take around four to five days to transfer the data on new servers. No website will go down during this process.

At this point no action is required from your end. Just sleep tight, as our migration team is monitoring the entire move closely.

We will update this announcement on daily basis.

Final final sync will start at 2 AM India time on 24th October. During this process some of the services like Apache, Email, MySQL might get affected for a brief period.

At this point no action is required from your end. Just sleep tight, as all is reported to be working fine as per the plan.
